The Pharmacy In Your Kitchen: Nutritional Suicide

Every Bite Counts

Your kitchen is a pharmacy. Every food item in it is a drug, and every one of them is sending direct instructions into your body.

What you eat is either helping you or hurting you. Every drink, every snack, every meal. Every sip. Every single thing you consume has an impact on your body. At Lendivel, we'd like to share how food impacts us in ways most people don't talk about.

The first is,

Food Is What Carries You Through Recovery

All tissue repair, immune response, wound healing, bone healing, and recovery from illness require the body to build new cells. New cells require raw materials. Raw materials come from food and water. Without food coming in, the body eventually breaks down its own muscle and stored fat to make those raw materials, which is why sick people lose weight. The body in survival recovery will eat from itself to heal, and this is borrowed time.

No meaningful recovery is powered by nothing. Every repair, every healing, every bounce back, requires energy and material input. This is biology, not opinion.

This is partly why two people can have the same malaria, the same surgery, the same injury, and one recovers in days while the other drags for weeks. The difference is often not strength. It is what is being fed to the body in between.

Which brings us to the next ignored truth, that food actually programs your body.

Food Programs Your Body

What you eat doesn't just feed your cells. It turns genes on and off. Folate in leafy vegetables influences which genes your body reads. Omega-3s in fish change how inflammation genes behave. Polyphenols in vegetables and fruits switch certain protective genes on. Food is not just fuel going in. It is instruction reaching your DNA.

And because of this, your body is constantly rebuilding itself.

You Are Being Rebuilt Constantly

Your body is replacing itself little by little, every day. Your digestive tract lining is replaced every 3 to 5 days. Your skin, about every 27 days. Your red blood cells, every 4 months. Your liver cells, every year or so. Even your skeleton rebuilds itself, slowly, over about 10 years.

Every cell that replaces an old one is built from what you ate that week. If you ate poorly, you built the replacement poorly. And before food even enters the picture, there is water. Water is not just a drink, water is life. Every reaction in the body happens in it. It is the raw material that makes everything else possible.

Nutrition is not about today's energy. It is about the body you will be living in six months from now.

Another important truth sadly ignored is that,

Food Tells Your Immune System What To Do

Up to 70 percent of your immune system lives in and around your digestive tract. What you eat directly shapes which immune cells get built, and how they behave. The fibre in vegetables and beans feeds the good bacteria that train your immune system. Sugar and ultra-processed food stress it out. Oily fish and foods rich in vitamin D and zinc give your defences the raw materials they need to do their job.

So if you're catching cold every time, maybe it's not bad luck. Maybe it's just a body that has not been given the raw materials to mount a proper defence for itself.

Lastly,

Food Also Decides Your Mood And Your Sharpness

The chemicals that make you feel calm, sharp, motivated and happy, like serotonin and dopamine, are not made from nothing. Your body builds them, from food. Serotonin is built from tryptophan, found in fish, eggs, chicken, beans and milk. Dopamine is built from tyrosine, found in fish, meat, eggs and beans. Without these raw materials coming in, your body cannot make enough of what keeps your mind steady.

So, when someone says certain food makes them "lazy and dull," they are medically correct. And when someone eats well and feels sharp, that is not a good mood. That is a body that has been given what it needs to work.

Food is not just fuel. Food is instruction.

Your plate is your most powerful prescription. And your kitchen is your pharmacy. Every meal, every single one, is either building you or quietly billing you.

You do not need to be sick before you start eating like your life depends on it. Because it does.

Lendivel.com, the only thing better than good health is a good life.

Sooo true!!! Funny how we try to eat well mostly when we fall sick instead of eating healthy not to fall sick in the first place.
